Today, in honor of Cinco de Mayo, the children reflected on their learning about Mexico using the Reporter’s Notebook thinking strategy. They looked at photos and crafts, recalling what they saw and made, and remembered the red, white, and green flag.We also had music class, where the children enjoyed dancing and celebrating through movement!

I’m a fan of mime. I think it’s a very original form of artistic expression. Connected with France and the famous artist Marcel Marceu, I wanted to show the kids a bit of this type of art. Later, we used a thinking routine called “I See/I Think/I Wonder” about the French artist’s image, with which the children created different observations and descriptions.
